Columbus Community College
Located in a 70-acre campus in downtown Columbus, Ohio, Columbus State Community College is a community college serving residents of Central Ohio. Columbus Community College also has a campus in Delaware, and nine Regional Learning Centers located in Gahanna, Dublin, Reynoldsburg, Westerville, Marysville, Plain City, Grove City, Southeast Columbus and Bolton Field. It was founded in 1963, and was formerly known as Columbus Area Technician's School and Columbus Technical Institute. Currently, Columbus State Community College has about 26,000 students.
Columbus State Community College is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central
Association of Colleges and Schools. In addition, many of the Career and Technical Programs offered at Columbus Community College have accreditation from other professional agencies and associations, such as the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health, National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences, National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation, Federal Aviation Administration, Accreditation Board of Engineering and Technology, American Dental Association Commission on Dental Accreditation, The State Medical Board of Ohio,

Associate's Degree and Certificate programs in a wide range of areas are offered at Columbus Community College. In addition, the Center for Workforce Development at Columbus State Community College provides a wide variety of workforce improvement and economic development learning programs, as well as customized training and talent development solutions for business and organizations. Online learning resources and programming are available for individuals as well as businesses.
Advising Services are readily accessible to students of Columbus Community College. Academic advisors are on hand to provide resources and information on academic planning, transferring to other four-year colleges or universities, concerns regarding academic standing (warning, probation, dismissal, performance), graduation requirements, time management, and other related concerns.
Additional academic support such as tutorial services are provided free of charge to enrolled students at Columbus State Community College. Walk-in tutoring sessions for business programs and courses are offered Thursdays and Saturdays. For help with mathematics subjects (Algebra, Calculus, Statistics, etc.), walk-in tutorial sessions are offered through the Learning Resource Center. Meanwhile, at the Writing Center, one-on-one tutorials are offered on essay assignments, research papaers, lab reports, resume writing, scholarship applications, and other writing needs.
Physical fitness is also a part of life at Columbus Community College. The Fitness Center is located at the basement of Delaware Hall, and the facility is equipped with locker rooms, free weights, treadmills, elliptical machines, and other exercise machines and equipment, all available at no cost to students and employees. Free fitness classes are also offered, and an open gym schedule is available for sports such as basketball, floor hockey, tennis, soccer, and many more.
